Mediterranean Perspectives promotes research and debate that facilitates understanding and mutual respect for Mediterranean – including Israeli and Palestinian – collective identities. The Association, set up in Jerusalem in 2000, aims at building and promoting activities and research about cultural, political, and religious experiences, with regard to the forms of coexistence of the Mediterranean peoples.
Through the reciprocal knowledge of the different Mediterranean identities, the association aims at preserving their cultural and historical heritage, including music, art, food and natural environment, as well as customs, lifestyles and local traditions. In particular, Mediterranean Perspectives’ Founder and Chairman Enrico Moilinaro (Phd) has led a number of initiatives aimed at developing peaceful solutions, instrumental in creating platforms for dialogue between Israelis and Palestinians.
